Sally Wins The World Title!
Posted by: Alex | Monday, October 20, 2008 0 commentsSally Fitzgibbons won the Open Women's World Title at the ISA World Surfing Games Costa de Caparica, Portugal yesterday, capping off a wonderful year of results. She made the final, winning all her heats along the way. Sally started the final slowly, patiently waiting 12 minutes for the right wave, scoring an 8.9 and then following it up with an 8.2 point ride shortly after. Sal carried this lead to the finish with Marie Dejean (France) in 2nd, Camila Cassia (Brazil) 3rd and Lauren Sweeney (USA) 4th.
